3 Day Shakeology Cleanse: Day 3 and results

Day Three!! Yes I have almost made it!
 Okay so I know this post is 2 days late, but things for really hectic and I was unable to post about my 3rd day! 
 So here it is!
I woke up feeling pretty good, more energy and ready for a workout!
I started my day with warm lemon water and some personal development and even got an hour of work done.
Had a delicious chocolate shakeology shake and completed 10 minute abs from the 21 Day Fix workout ( Wowza serious burner!!)- did I get a six pack from it haha!

3 Day Shakeology Cleanse: Day 2

Day 2 of the shakeology cleanse is in the bag!
Yes I know my post is late, but the day ended up busy ( thanks goodness!!)
The morning I woke up and I was hungry and tired. Instantly my thoughts were negative (no way to start...bad idea)
So I did quite a bit of work, went to the gym and than the hard part happened..
  Coworkers wanted to go to the movies: okay I thought I got this! Eat my salad before hand and I will be fine! Well then they wanted to go to Buffalo Wild Wings! Naturally what do you always want when you go there?!? WINGS!
But I got my salad and water-YES I DID IT!!
I was very pleased! Even though the salad was bigger than I should have eaten! But still..give the girl some credit (and patting yourself on the back is fine!)

So here is my picture-not remarkable change but I am feeling, less bloated and powerful and in charge!

Shakeology Shamrock Shake

Growing up, during St. Patrick's Day we used to have a day full of "green" items. We ate green eggs in the morning, from Dr. Seuss, we put green food coloring in our milk or drink of choice at dinner. At school we would have green sprinkles on cookies, cupcakes with green icing and green drinks for our classroom parties. I thought this was the most amazing day ever! I LOVED classroom parties because of all the yummy treats, but that was before thinking of what all the sugar did to my body, mood and brain! Not to mention what it did to my mom when I got home exploding with energy!

These are the "delicious" treats that have become apart of St. Patrick's Day, I have now come to love a brand new treat that satisfies my cravings, eliminates the sugar high and is packed full of nutrients. I heard that Shakeology Shamrock Shake was similar to the McDonald's Shamrock Milkshake and I did not understand how that was even possible! I thought there was no way that this could possibly taste anything similar to a milkshake from McDonalds' BUT let me tell you, it does! It definitely meets the requirements! :)

Staying on Track During Thanksgiving

Today I feel like we finally have entered the holiday season. Thanksgiving is in TWO DAYS!! I have even started taking out my Christmas decorations, because when I return it will be Decemeber!! :) I have the Christmas candles placed out in exchange for the pumpkin candles and it smells like Christmas in here!! 

So with all the holiday celebrations so do the muffin tops and tight jeans! During the holiday season there is loads of cocktails, wine, dips, pumpkin pie, chocolate chips, holiday hot chocolates and more delicious treats! YUMMM!!
I allow myself to enjoy some holiday treats, BUT I continue to make good choices most of the time. I do LOVE sweets and enjoy them more than I thought, but I still stay focused and try to remind myself how I feel after I eat too many sweets!
What can you do to have a healthy holiday that will not leave you with those extra pounds and tight fighting outfits. I will give you some of my favorite tips.

1. Workout: I continue to get my workout in even when I am getting packed up to visit family and traveling. While my responsibilities, social calendar and work continue to pack my days-it is important for me to fit my workout in. Even with the busier days and extra hustle and bustle, I schedule my workouts like I schedule any other appointments that I would not skip. It is on my calendar for 7:30am every day! 
If you like to complete your workouts in the afternoon, decide what is most important to you in order to stay on track. If you say "I really need to do my workout." That is your answer and ask the friend to meet you later or if it is with a group meet them a few minutes late. Taking too many unschedule rest days during the week will throw off your routine and mess up your progress. Do not take unscheduled rest days unless it is on your calendar over your workouts!!
2. Thanksgiving Day: Even thought it is a holiday don't use that as an excuse to skip your workout. ESPECIALLY if you have been saving up for the special Thanksgiving FEAST, get in a good sweat session before! I still get up normal time, or later depending on when the festivities will begin and I do my workout. I know I am about to eat more than I am used to and I want to get my metabolism fired up and my feel good endorphins pumping so I can have an amazing day with family. If time is an issue T25 is literally 25 minutes! How easy is that to fit in? This year I am doing Hip Hop Abs and the workout is 30 minutes-I can still fit that in!! I eat a normal breakfast and I will be having Shakeology. I also have my usual snack about 3 hours after my breakfast. It is important not to starve yourself to save calories for dinner. Follow proper portion sizes throughout the day-even at Thanksgiving dinner. 
I continue to follow the palm size portion for lean protein (turkey), I have 1 cupped palm of potatoes (starchy carbohydrates) and I choose either potatoes or corn since both are starches. Then, load up on the vegetables (with no sauce or butter). It is okay to have a roll at dinner! I do!! But then stop there! I do not eat casserole, scalloped potatoes, stuffing, corn, rolls and cookie, pumpkin pie and apple pie. I pick and choose which ones I want to spend my calories on! Choose between the foods you absolutely know you want versus the foods you just want to try! Make sense? Drink LOTS of water! Still aim to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces so you do not confuse thirst with hunger and your metabolism is still cranking!

3. If you are hosting or going to a Thanksgiving dinner bring a healthy dish. You can be sneaky about this-I am sometimes. I like to bring something I can eat a lot of! Usually it has protein in it so you have a back up plan (which happens often when you eat away from home). Quietly get you plate, fill it with what you brought, grab some veggies and fruit and be satisfied with that! I always have my shakeology in my car or bag for afterwards. Remember-it is all about will power and balance. Just because there is nothing healthy, does not mean you have to eat it. Pick and choose what maters to you.

I know my family and I love to play games with each other and watch some football. It is my favorite to do this with my family and catch up on some relaxing time!

Focus T25 Results!

Focus T25 Results!!

I am very proud to be posting this! I have never fully committed to a workout start to finish. Here and there I did P90X and Insanity, but never fully committed. This was my first workout program I dedicated myself 100% to and I am so happy I did.

Before I started Focus T25, I was struggling with hiding my stomach; especially my muffin tops that just seemed to always find a way to stick out, my legs were getting thicker and my muscle definition was NONEXISTENT!! Now looking back I am embarrassed at how "okay" I was with looking like this and thinking I looked decent. WOW am I glad I decided to fully commit to this and now I know that this will NOT be my first workout program I complete!




These are the pictures I took of myself in August 2013. Let me remind you-I thought I was doing "Okay" with my workouts. The reason I dedicated myself to Focus T25 was because I knew I could do much BETTER,  and I DID!!

As you can see I have ZERO muscle definition, muffin tops, bad posture and what you cannot see is lack of self-esteem, lack of self control, lots of cravings, very little energy, poor digestion, low immune system and little strength.

When I started these were my measurements:
Weight: 147
Chest: 35.5 In.
Waist: 29.5 In.
Arm: 11.5 In.
Thigh: 23 In.


Here is a 3 step picture of my progression through the first month of Focus T25. I started to see muscle definition, I was losing my muffin tops, I was feeling more energized, stronger, better digestion, my attitude had done a 360 degree turn and I was ready to continue this transformation in full gear!

I am ECSTATIC about what Focus T25 has done for me. Physically, emotionally, and mentally. Physically I am seeing improvements in my body physique. I have muscle definition, I have lost inches and have basically NO muffin tops! My energy level is at an all time high, my digestion is smoother than ever- I do not feel like I have a rock sitting in my stomach, I am more agile and I am no longer worried about how I will look showing my athletes an example of stretches or therapeutic exercises. 

My completed measurements:
Weight: 137 lbs
Chest: 32 In.
Waist: 28 In.
Arm: 11.5 In.
Thigh: 20.5 In.

These might not sound like drastic changes, but let me tell you how drastic I feel!

Throughout this challenge I have combined Focus T25, Shakeology and Clean Eating.

Is Beachbody Coaching a Scheme?

Let us look at Beachbody Coaching and see if it is for real. Is it a scheme or is it worth my time and money to do this?

Yes! This is very scary, I had so many questions as I was asked if I was interested in being a Beachbody coach. What was that? How do I go about handling this? I have a brand new job, can I take on this as well? SO many questions, and my upline coach continued to say-"YES." I was already drinking shakeology and loved the workouts. I had completed Insanity, and was in the process of completing P90X. I was so unsure of how I was going to "sell" their products. Are struggling to keep your hand out of the candy bowl?
 
 
After Halloween the hardest thing is to say NO when all the candy is around.
How have I found a way to pull my hand away?
SHAKEOLOGY recipes that taste just as great as the candy bars but without the guilt!
How wonderful does that sound!!??
Butterfingers:
 
1 Scoop of chocolate shakeology
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 1/2 Tbsp butterscotch pudding mix
1 1/2 Tbsp PB2 or Peanut butter

1 Scoop chocolate shakeology

I have always loved candy-not all kinds, but lots! Now that I have fun and sweet ways of making shakeology I can easily satisfy my sweet tooth and not feel bad about what I am putting into my body. I get very emotional and sensitive when I eat too much sugar. This is a sure way to create issues, but now I can decrease the chances of slipping a piece of candy. Sure it still takes a lot of will power and persuading myself not to grab a piece of candy but I know I feel so much better without.

3 Day Shakeology Cleanse





The Three Day Shakeology Cleanse

I have to tell you about my journey (experience) doing the three day shakeology cleanse. Let me first off start by saying this was not as easy as I thought it was going to be!

Day 1: I started this day on top of this cleanse. I was talking on the phone with my parents as they were heading to the airport on their way to Israel. I mentioned how this was the first day I was starting the cleanse and I thought it was going to be a piece of cake (HA!) 
Breakfast-shakeology, I knew I could not handle vanilla shakeology with just water so I did have chocolate and half vanilla to equal one scoop and added 8oz of water and about 3 or 4 ice cubes and blended it. Surprisingly I still thought no big deal, these three days will not be as bad as everyone makes cleanses sound.
Snack- I had an apple
Lunch-another shake just like the breakfast one
Dinner: I had a salad (fairly large) with a piece of white fish. My dressing was light balsamic. 
Snack: 1/2 cup of strawberries.
I also had 2 cups of green tea with no honey!! (ahh) throughout the day.







I must say, because my three days sound the exact same I will not go through each meal for each day. But I will tell you about my struggles.

Day 1 I had very little struggles. The worst part was when I got home and was just relaxing and doing some work. I was able to think about food and how I wanted to eat (key word there was WANTED-I did not necessarily need to, but what else did I have to do?!) So I drank tea-which was satisfying.

Day 2: This was the worst day. I have to say it was the worst because I was right in the middle and in my head it would have been easy to turn back and forget I started rather then push through and get some kind of results-if any. I have to say because my mom (who has been through these several times was not around, I constantly went to my boyfriend for help) He helped me see how it was necessary for me to push through and see the results. He mentioned how far I had come to just turn back then. So I pushed through!


Day 3: It was definitely an easier day because I knew I was almost done, but I was not working that day so I was not very distracted. I was running errands and you know what those included; GROCERY SHOPPING!! Who wants to go to the grocery store when you're hungry let alone on a cleanse! Well I struggled here but I found eating a 1/2 cup of pineapple chunks while shopping kept me contained. I have to say though-be more careful than I was because I accidentally spilled the juice and left a trail around the grocery store. (UGH!) I have to say, the advice that was given about sleeping more than I thought was necessary, was definitely the best advice! 

The END: I woke up Sunday morning and felt AMAZING! I was not craving anything I wanted the days before. I wanted McDonald's, and every single thing I could think of. Anything I would never think of wanting on a normal day-I craved so bad! But the day I was able to eat again-I was not hungry, had so much energy, felt amazing and did not crave one thing that I had been craving the day before. How crazy is that!!??

I have to admit though..I did cheat...ONCE and I regret it but I have to share since I am telling you about my journey. PLUS I am very weak..I try so hard to be dedicated beyond belief but I am not. I constantly have to kick myself back on track. Well I cheated with a pumpkin coffee :(

My Results!!! Day 1 to the Morning of Day 4 (well the end of the cleanse) I lost 9.5 pounds!!! how amazing is that!? I felt amazing and I would definitely do it again even though it was not extremely easy. But I did it and the next time, I will not cheat!
